Purpose
The calendar provides an overview of individual residents’ days or activities and appointments across residents and departments, enabling planning and coordination. The calendar usually contains events such as a medical appointments, social activities, family visits etc.
The entries in the calendar can be planned in advance based on residents' routines. However, they can also be added, when they occur, by any staff on the devices, allowing everyone a real-time view, of what is taking place.
It proves quite helpful for the staff to collectively plan their day around the residents needs and preferences. It also allows staff to develop a better understanding of their residents choices and how best to engage with them.
Creating Standard events:
In the Administration, the first step is to create standard events in the Setup, which is more like an exhaustive list of all the activities and appointments that are part of a service user's calendar.
Assigning events to an Individual's Calendar:
In the Resident menu, you can go to the Calendar tab to assign events to individual residents. You can set times, repetition patterns and personalise descriptions for these events. Families can also be involved, if they have been invited into Sekoia. They can book time in their relatives calendar and also access it to see what activities/public appointments may have taken place. You can have a daily, weekly or monthly overview of the Calendar. There is also an activity module in Sekoia that can be included in the Calendar, which shows, which activity groups the service user is a part of.
