Purpose
Health Measurement checks are a vital part of the care provided to a service user. It is important to be reminded to do these checks and also to be able to capture this information in a structured way. It often falls on the management or nurses to pick up on any deviations in these measurements. However, allowing all staff the visibility and overview of these measurements, instills collective professional responsibility in the team. Then the person carrying out the checks is aware of its purpose and parameters, and they are able to quickly identify any areas of concern that may need addressing. Including measurements as part of the Forms allows this process to be covered in an easy, seamless and effective manner.
Potential Use
With the ability to create bespoke forms in Sekoia, and include measurements as part of those questions, you are able to put a process in place that allows you to place reminders, communicate guidance and access reporting all in one place. Some examples of these are as follows:
Reminders for Weekly/Monthly Weight Checks: You can set a task weekly, monthly or at a repetition pattern of your choice that shows up at the right time and serves as a prompt for the staff on shift to to record this measurement.
Guidance notes where needed for the staff to be aware of the parameters of a certain health measurement, such as Blood Glucose Levels for example.
New Processes may sometimes need to be put in place, for example with Covid checks, where multiple measurements need to be recorded at once and follow-up action needs to be prompted in case of any concerns.
