Purpose
The purpose of Photos is to have a visual library that captures a more holistic picture of the service users.
You can have shared and individual service users' albums in the Photos section. This is a feature that is also open to the families for photo-sharing.
All pictures must be uploaded from the Administration in the right location, depending on whether they are shared or personal.
These Photos are easy to view on any device and can be used for joint viewing with the service users.
Potential Use
There are several potential uses of this feature. Photos may be used:
- To build a life history of a service user with pictures they may have from their childhood and/or adult life.
- To ensure families stay connected with their relatives, especially at times when they cannot visit. Having a two-way exchange of photos, where you can share pictures of activities/events that have taken place within your service, for the families to see and feel a part of - and vice versa for families to share pictures that their relatives would enjoy seeing, and help them be more a part of their lives.
- To form better acquaintance between the staff and the service users' families. Having a service user's family photos with footnotes of who everyone are is also a great communication tool - also between the staff and the service users.
- To upload Reminiscence albums that work great for service users, who perhaps have dementia or other challenging behaviour that may be placated by certain visual references that help them feel better.
